RUSSELL HERRON (2006 onwards)

The various and varied works which made up the project 'RUSSELL HERRON' were an attempt to explore the idea of being an artist without making a body of work; by means of merchandise, media exposure, social networking, branding, information services and the continued use - in different forms - of the name 'RUSSELL HERRON' to forge a presence in the (art)world. In so doing, it was also a way of thinking about branding, communication and codes of understanding within culture; it was a comment on branding and the marketing of art and artists.
